Engineer II (Plating)

Semiconductor manufacturing company operating high-volume manufacturing processes and advanced packaging technologies.

What you will do

• Own and sustain BIM (RTR) plating processes and equipment for stable, high-yield manufacturing.
• Drive improvements in yield, quality, throughput, and cost, using structured engineering and data-driven analysis to eliminate process variation.
• Lead Lot-On-Hold disposition and provide floor support for manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Equipment, R&D, NPI, QA, and Product teams to qualify new products and processes and transfer technologies, chemicals, and equipment into high-volume manufacturing.
• Maintain SOPs, control plans, FMEAs, and process specifications, while coordinating with suppliers on equipment, chemicals, fixtures, and spare parts.
• Mentor technicians, support 24/7 operations through task planning and coverage, and ensure EHS and chemical-handling compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• At least 5 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience, including 3 or more years in plating or wet processes.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor plating equipment and strong knowledge of plating fundamentals, chemical interactions, and defect troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab.
• Strong technical documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with MECO plating lines and BIM/RTR plating lines.
• Exposure to advanced packaging technologies.
• Proven experience in yield improvement and process optimization projects.
