Dispatch Coordinator

What you will do

• Coordinate the efficient use of regional equipment, drivers, and manpower for internal and external customers.
• Review shipping requests, determine resource requirements, create transportation orders, and assign drivers and power units to scheduled loads.
• Integrate operational planning data, including driver hours, preplanning, budgeted hours, cross-docking, and mapping.
• Verify labels, manifests, LDRs, logbooks, trip sheets, expenses, and driver exemption forms.
• Coordinate with Central Logistics and Regional Logistics on DOT compliance, maintenance, safety, permitting, and driver regulations.
• Maintain daily operational plans, on-time performance, and support Field Service Emergency Responses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous transportation and industry experience; previous driver experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows-based and Microsoft applications.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, organizational, scheduling, planning, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to comply with safe work practices, DOT regulations, and company policies.
