Controls HVAC Technician

Location: Rocky Hill, Connecticut, United States. Field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations, with occasional overtime and overnight stays.

Salary: $30.92–$47.85 per hour

What you will do

• Start and commission new HVAC and environmental-control systems.
• Diagnose and repair control, mechanical, refrigeration, airflow, and electronic systems in commercial settings.
• Service assigned equipment and systems while acting as the direct customer contact.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on installation and repair requirements, materials, and schedules.
• Maintain knowledge of Trane products and direct digital control system operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain accurate records for company assets and equipment conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 3–5 years of HVAC or controls experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous three years.
• Previous DDC controls experience is preferred; EPA certification is preferred.
