Technology Regulatory Compliance Engineering Specialist

Location: Peoria, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year

What you will do

• Assess the impact of global environmental, chemical, and product substance compliance regulations on products and operations.
• Partner with product groups to identify requirements, evaluate risks, and support compliance obligations.
• Develop compliance guidance, declarations, procedures, and standard work.
• Respond to customer, regulatory, and internal compliance inquiries and declaration requests.
• Collect, validate, and manage compliance data from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Improve compliance processes, systems, and data governance for global regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, biology, materials science, or a related technical field.
• Experience in product compliance, substance compliance, product development, chemical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Skills in risk management, data gathering and analysis, decision-making, and critical thinking.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, purchasing, suppliers, legal, sustainability, customers, and regulatory stakeholders.
• High accuracy and attention to detail when managing compliance data, declarations, and regulatory documentation.
• Understanding of product development processes and integration of regulatory requirements into product design, sourcing, and lifecycle activities.

• Experience managing multiple projects across cross-functional and global teams.
• Experience working with suppliers and supply chain partners on technical or compliance data.
