GCM Financial Accountant II - UK

What you will do

• Support monthly general ledger closing, account fluctuation analysis, reconciliations, and monthly or quarterly reporting.
• Lead variance analysis, accounting data integrity testing, work paper reviews, and resolution of accounting issues.
• Improve and implement accounting processes for financial products and support the integration of acquired portfolios into the general ledger.
• Create business and functional requirements, then test and implement new accounting requirements.
• Support financial, regulatory, and internal control activities, including audit and regulatory issue remediation.
• Lead or participate in accounting projects and mentor less experienced accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with at least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Experience applying GAAP and IFRS Accounting Standards.
• Experience developing and implementing financial controls, performing reconciliations, and analyzing financial risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, presentations, and industry-specific software.
• Experience supervising or mentoring less experienced accounting staff.
