Lab Chemist II

Location: Deer Trail, Colorado, United States; Monday–Friday, laboratory-based work.

Salary: $14.90–$34.62 per hour

What you will do

• Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and testing of samples.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical laboratory equipment.
• Complete calibration logs, run logs, testing records, and other laboratory documentation.
• Follow laboratory SOPs, chemical hygiene procedures, OSHA requirements, and safety standards.
• Manage chemical waste, monitor laboratory supplies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Train and mentor new hires and occasionally operate a forklift.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be accepted.
• 3–5 years of related laboratory experience and hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with chemical testing, analysis, and handling chemical waste.
• Experience operating, maintaining, and calibrating analytical laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, chemical safety, and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to perform medium physical work, including standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Forklift experience.
• 24- or 40-hour OSHA training with annual updates.
• DOT training.
