Quality Lab Technician III - Front Half Day Shift

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. Front-half day shift: 5:30 AM–6:00 PM, Sunday–Tuesday, with every other Wednesday alternating.

Salary: $30.00–$36.00 per hour, based on experience; eligible for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Test incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using advanced metrology tools.
• Follow laboratory test methods and identify or implement method improvements.
• Record testing data accurately in data management systems to maintain traceability and defensibility.
• Maintain laboratory instruments, perform long-term stability measurements, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Analyze large datasets to resolve testing or data issues and identify corrective actions.
• Create, revise, and review laboratory work instructions while supporting safety, 6S, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of industrial laboratory experience, or an associate’s degree in a relevant field with 1+ years of industrial laboratory experience.
• General knowledge of quality systems and laboratory best practices.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, time management, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Chemistry or Biology, with quality or scientific laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining metrology equipment.
• Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of flammable liquids, corrosives, and toxic compounds.
• MS Office and Excel proficiency.
• Interest in technical education, special projects, and technical publications.
