Area Service Manager (HVAC)

Location: On-site five days per week in Valley View, Columbus, or Holland, Ohio, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; travel to other sites and customer job sites is required.

Salary: $117,673.33–$164,675.00 annual base salary, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Oversee service operations for data center HVAC projects, including start-up support, commissioning, warranty execution, repairs, installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Own P&L management, revenue forecasting, budget control, service agreement growth, and margin performance.
• Coordinate service scheduling and field resources while ensuring efficient responses to emergency repairs, maintenance contracts, and customer requests.
• Recruit, coach, train, and develop service employees and technicians, including technical, customer service, and process skills.
• Improve invoicing, collections, utilization, service processes, customer satisfaction, and cash flow.
• Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance across shop and customer-site operations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in HVAC, technical systems, equipment, skilled trades, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience managing and coaching large teams and organizing work schedules.
• Project management skills for data center start-ups and customer service requests.
• Technology proficiency with Microsoft applications; Salesforce experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations during the previous three years.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and work around mechanical equipment, heights, outdoor conditions, and other variable environments.
