ES Field Technician I (Environmental Services)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, USA; on-site field work involving emergency response, spill cleanup, confined-space entry, and hazardous-material decontamination.

What you will do

• Perform tank cleaning, oil-spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, and high-pressure washing.
• Respond to customer spills and environmental emergencies during and outside normal business hours.
• Enter confined spaces such as manholes and perform related remedial activities.
• Set up and operate pumps, trailer-mounted generators, air compressors, light towers, pallet jacks, skid steers, and other equipment.
• Maintain equipment and work sites while following applicable safety policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Experience with light and heavy equipment and hazardous or non-hazardous emergency cleanup.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow operational, technical, process, safety, and quality instructions.
• Knowledge of chemicals and safety data sheets, with strong attention to safety, accuracy, and detail.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience; a valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.

Nice to have

• Current confined-space entry certification or the ability to obtain it after hiring.
• Experience using hand tools, shop tools, instruments, tablets, or PCs.
