Accounts Payable Lead

What you will do

• Train, schedule, assign, and review the work of accounts payable staff.
• Review and approve daily accounts payable processing and help coordinate weekly check runs.
• Analyze major accounts and prepare monthly vendor reconciliations.
• Develop record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures for payment processing.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, complaints, escalations, and processing inconsistencies with AP management and procurement teams.
• Coordinate accounting policies and procedures with managers, vendors, clients, customers, and reporting agencies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus 2–3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Complete understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to supervise, train, evaluate, and direct staff while addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ability to provide customer service and follow through with minimal supervision.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
