Staff Strategic Sourcing Manager - Technology

Location: San Diego, California, or Mountain View, California

Expected base pay: $150,000–$203,000 in San Diego or $159,500–$215,500 in Mountain View per year

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives supporting the IT organization and business transformation.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across software, hardware, data, AI, SaaS, telecommunications, and emerging technology categories.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing projects, including RFPs, proofs of concept, opportunity assessments, and total cost of ownership analyses.
• Lead complex negotiations with global technology vendors and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify operational improvement, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and value creation opportunities.
• Evaluate strategic opportunities and present recommendations to leadership based on industry trends.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of strategic sourcing experience in the technology sector.
• Experience with ERP and Source-to-Pay tools.
• Proven ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience developing and presenting business cases and sourcing strategies for technology spend optimization.
• Experience with software and hardware contract development and management.
• Strong project management, analytical, attention-to-detail, and stakeholder management skills.
