HAZMAT General Laborer / Field Service Technician I

Location: Sanford, Florida, United States. Field-based work with travel, rotating emergency-response on-call duties, and occasional weekend and holiday work.

Salary: $20.00–$21.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous-material handling.
• Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste and inspect drums for integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with field sampling, waste-stream profiling, and calibration of meters.
• Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, powered industrial tools, and vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT requirements.
• Work in confined spaces, at elevations, outdoors in varied weather, and around potentially hazardous, toxic, or corrosive substances.
• Participate in rotating emergency response coverage every other week, including extended shifts of up to 12–24 hours.

Requirements

• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Agreement to on-call emergency response, including occasional weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical examination as applicable.
• Ability to comply with respirator facial-hair requirements where respirators are required.
• Valid driver's license and previous relevant labor experience are preferred.
