What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of complex, high-value commercial loan and deposit relationships.
• Interview applicants, evaluate credit information, and recommend appropriate banking relationships.
• Build the bank’s brand and portfolio in the Central Virginia market.
• Maintain portfolio quality, monitor loan compliance, and keep credit files current.
• Develop new loan, deposit, and fee-based business through a formal client call program.
• Support the Government Contracting line of business, monitor market trends, and represent the bank in community activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience.
• At least seven years of commercial portfolio management experience.
• Knowledge of financial analysis, banking credit principles, commercial fee-based products, and bank policies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and sales skills.
• Ability to manage and retain existing clients and collaborate with internal contacts.
• Ability to coach or mentor junior relationship managers.
