Software Engineer (React/Node/TypeScript)

Location: Remote in the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii

Salary: $140,000–$171,000 base salary plus equity; no bonus

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable platforms, services, and internal tooling for the Revenue Cycle Management team.
• Develop systems supporting payments, claims submission, and operational workflows.
• Improve efficiency, reliability, availability, performance, and cost effectiveness across revenue cycle operations.
• Drive planning, execution, success measurement, and post-launch maintenance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work with engineering, operations, product, design, and business stakeholders to solve complex operational challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience working directly with product and design teams.
• Experience building highly responsive, scalable, reliable, available, and performant systems.
• Intermediate understanding of application architecture, API design patterns, data modeling, security, performance, scaling, frontend architecture, component-based design, state management, and rendering performance.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Node, TypeScript, Kafka, and AWS or equivalent technologies.
• Startup or growth-stage company experience.
• On-call experience and willingness to investigate complex issues through resolution.
• Experience delivering medium-complexity projects with sustainable results.
