Sr Associate General Counsel (Technology)

Salary: $229,300–$280,200 annually target range; full range $178,500–$331,200 annually, plus performance-based incentives

What you will do

• Provide strategic, business-focused legal counsel on contracting and risk management to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Lead legal support for vendor agreements and negotiate complex technology, SaaS, AI, data privacy, and commercial contracts.
• Develop contract playbooks, templates, standardized risk positions, and scalable contracting practices.
• Partner with procurement, vendor management, and business stakeholders on Contract Lifecycle Management implementation and process improvements.
• Coach and develop the non-lawyer contract team while driving operational excellence.
• Support legal operations, outside counsel management, policy development, vendor governance, and complex legal escalations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership in good standing.
• 10+ years of legal experience in a law firm, financial institution, fintech, regulatory agency, or combination thereof.
• 5+ years of management or leadership experience.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, issue-spotting, and practical risk-balancing skills.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Significant experience with SaaS and technology contracts, DPAs, and AI addendums.
• Expertise in GLBA, CCPA, Open Banking, and other data privacy regulations.
• Interest in emerging technologies, evolving business models, and changing regulatory frameworks.
