Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Salary: $248,000–$279,000 US base salary annually, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Design, build, and support the next-generation experimentation platform, including core services, data pipelines, configuration tooling, statistical analysis tools, and user experience.
• Lead development of AI-assisted experimentation workflows and collaborate with stakeholders across the company.
• Influence product telemetry practices to support experimentation and data-informed decisions.
• Build high-scale data systems and user experiences that power internal teams and product features used by millions of users.
• Lead and mentor engineers while delivering complex technical projects from high-level goals to shippable solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building internal tools and working with A/B testing and statistical frameworks.
• Experience with experimentation tooling, complex technical projects, and systems with strong data governance, privacy, and security controls.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL, and data warehouse solutions.
• Strong product sense, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and experience developing engineers at multiple levels.

Nice to have

• Experience building human-in-the-loop AI systems and evaluating AI products.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
• Experience with modern data processing stacks, TypeScript, Rust, full-stack development, or product engineering.
• Deep understanding of statistics, data science, or large-scale data processing.
