Manufacturing Project Manager - Technology

Location: Davidson, North Carolina; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays

Salary: $123,721.66–$173,004.99 annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead deployment of manufacturing technology solutions across factory sites, including PLM, MBOM, and related digital manufacturing systems.
• Act as the liaison between Manufacturing, IT, and OT to translate operational needs into practical technical solutions.
• Coordinate site readiness, including process mapping, data validation, infrastructure planning, training, and user adoption.
• Support integration between enterprise systems and plant-floor technologies to improve data flow, traceability, process control, and visibility.
• Maintain deployment standards, documentation, process instructions, and user support materials while monitoring system performance and feedback.
• Track milestones, risks, issues, and deployment status; support pilots, multi-site rollouts, governance, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, including factory operations, production systems, and continuous improvement.
• Experience deploying or sustaining manufacturing technologies such as PLM, MBOM, MES, ERP, SCADA, or IIoT.
• Understanding of IT, OT, manufacturing operations, process flows, routings, work instructions, BOM structures, and change management.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects, managing stakeholders and priorities, and translating business requirements into deployment activities.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, communication, collaboration, documentation, and user-training skills, with awareness of cybersecurity, access control, and data governance.

Nice to have

• PLM and MBOM deployment experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with smart factory, digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, MES, ERP, shop-floor connectivity, automation, or industrial networking.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement knowledge.
• Experience with multi-site deployments, enterprise transformation programs, or global matrixed organizations.
• Project management experience or certification.
