Strategic Sourcing Data Analyst (AI)

Location: Denver, Colorado, US; 100% on-site

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year plus bonus; Restricted Stock Units included in all offers.

What you will do

• Build and maintain automated Tableau or Power BI dashboards for procurement KPIs, including cost avoidance, contract cycle times, and payment-term compliance.
• Analyze large procurement datasets from Coupa and SAP to identify spend trends, leakage, negotiation opportunities, and consolidation potential.
• Develop statistical models to forecast lead times and market price fluctuations for long-lead equipment such as transformers and breakers.
• Partner with the AI Task Force to implement LLM-based tools for automated bid reviews and contract data extraction.
• Translate analytical findings for Technical Power teams, Legal, and executive stakeholders supporting negotiations and EPC agreements.
• Improve data integrity and governance across Jira, sourcing modules, and Coupa, while providing rapid-turnaround analysis of fragmented datasets.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in supply chain or procurement.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for relational databases.
• Expert-level experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
• Foundational knowledge of Python or R for data cleaning and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with Coupa, SAP, Jira, or comparable ERP, sourcing, and project management tools.
• Ability to calculate working capital impact and total cost of ownership and present data-heavy findings clearly to non-technical executives.

Nice to have

• Experience applying generative AI to automate business workflows.
• Knowledge of the energy or utilities sector, especially high-voltage equipment sourcing.
• Self-starter approach to identifying problems and independently building analytical frameworks.
