Senior Data Analyst (SQL/Python)

Location: Seattle, USA

Salary: $114,000–$196,000 per year, plus potential annual bonus of 0–20% of base salary.

What you will do

• Design and maintain analytical frameworks monitoring platform usage, user engagement, and system performance.
• Build scalable data models, SQL/dbt transformation pipelines, and reporting data pipelines.
• Create executive dashboards and operational reports with Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Perform quantitative analyses of high-volume datasets to identify trends, platform bottlenecks, and resource-utilization opportunities.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to define, instrument, and validate metrics for features and infrastructure services.
• Establish metric definitions, data governance standards, analytical code reviews, and recommendations for technical and executive stakeholders while mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or quantitative analysis, preferably with technical or platform products.
• Advanced SQL skills for large, complex relational and non-relational databases, plus hands-on Python or R experience.
• Experience designing data models and dashboards with enterprise BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods, data modeling, data warehouse architecture, communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, business analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, distributed systems, API logs, streaming platforms, AI/ML product metrics, A/B testing, predictive modeling, Git, version control, or CI/CD.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
