Sr. Manager Data Management

Location: On-site in Austin, TX or Southlake, TX, United States

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Identify critical data flows and assess data risk across end-to-end data lineages.
• Define risk criteria and translate lineage insights into prioritization signals and remediation roadmaps.
• Partner with business, technology, data, analytics, and AI stakeholders to address material data risks.
• Operationalize data risk metrics and indicators, monitor trends, and identify root causes.
• Prepare targeted reporting, communicate trade-offs, and escalate emerging risks to senior management.
• Lead and develop business change initiatives in a highly matrixed environment.

Requirements

• Experience identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks related to data integrity, quality, security, and privacy.
• Hands-on experience in data strategy, analytics, data science, data governance, or data engineering, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience analyzing data lineage and data flows across complex systems.
• Experience delivering reporting solutions that quantify risk and operationalizing risk metrics.
• Proficiency with data governance, risk management, and metadata tools and methodologies; familiarity with SQL, data structures, and data management policies.
• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in data-related fields, plus strong communication, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with project management, agile planning, change management, and tools such as Jira.
• Experience working successfully in a highly matrixed organization.
