Location: HY US Avon, IN; position based at the Avon facility. Hybrid work option is offered, and relocation assistance is not available.

What you will do
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the Parts Distribution Center and lead the Finance Department.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including reconciliations, general ledger reviews, and financial statement preparation.
- Direct standard cost updates and inventory reconciliation processes to support accurate inventory valuation.
- Partner with operations leadership to provide financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities.
- Lead accounting process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Strong general ledger and cost accounting expertise.
- Experience supporting financial audits and internal control compliance programs.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- CPA, CMA, MSA, or MBA.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in inventory accounting, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
