TL;DR
Senior Director I, AP Math Generalist, Curriculum and Assessment (AI): Developing and overseeing curriculum, standardized assessments, scoring materials, and professional learning content for AP Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics with an accent on assessment validity, fairness, reliability, and generative AI. Focus on leading item and test-form development, training subject-matter experts, coordinating scoring events, and improving psychometric and disciplinary processes.

Location: Remote - USA. Candidates near hirify.global offices may choose fully remote or hybrid work with in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional business travel is required, including 6–8 trips per year and up to two additional weeks for the AP Reading. Authorization and eligibility to work in the United States are required.

Salary: $112,000–$170,000 annually, adjusted based on location, experience, qualifications, and market data.

What you will do

  • Lead curriculum and assessment development for AP Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics.
  • Author, review, approve, and manage formative and summative assessment items, test forms, scoring materials, and related publications.
  • Coordinate Test Development Committee meetings and supervise committee members contributing to assessment development.
  • Lead annual AP Reading scoring events in person and online, including planning, execution, and post-event activities.
  • Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader reliability; establish cut scores with psychometricians.
  • Improve assessment processes and course frameworks while supporting new instructional products and strategic program growth.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a directly related discipline; a doctorate is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in Precalculus, Calculus, or Statistics and at least 10 years of standardized assessment development or related experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication, technical proficiency, organization, planning, proofreading, and documentation skills.
  • Experience implementing processes, managing project plans and schedules, and coordinating multiple workstreams.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, including experience working with educators, academics, technical experts, and senior stakeholders.
  • Must be authorized and eligible to work in the United States and able to travel as required.

Nice to have

  • Doctorate in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with digital assessment and teaching.
