Staff Software Engineer - Next Gen (Fullstack)

Location: Lehi, Utah, United States; Remote - US

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 annual cash compensation, including on-target earnings.

What you will do

• Define technical direction, engineering standards, and architecture across frontend, backend, and distributed systems.
• Architect and build production-grade full stack applications with React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS.
• Design event-driven architectures, data pipelines, REST and GraphQL APIs, and integrations using AWS services and Kafka.
• Build responsive document management workflows, content enrichment, real-time search, and AI-powered document intelligence capabilities.
• Improve system performance, reliability, security, observability, scalability, and developer experience.
• Own complex initiatives through production deployment, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, Design, Platform Services, and engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications at scale.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience influencing engineering direction and practices.
• Deep experience with React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and backend development with C#/.NET or Java and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience with event-driven, service-oriented, microservices, and cloud-native architectures on AWS, including ECS, Lambda, and S3.
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases, REST and GraphQL API security and versioning, Kafka, observability, automated testing, CI/CD, and production support.

Nice to have

• Experience with document management, content services, search-driven applications, or high-performance React applications at scale.
• Experience integrating AI-powered services into production applications.
• Experience building B2B SaaS products in legal or other regulated industries.
• Mobile or cross-platform development experience, open-source contributions, technical writing, or broader technical community participation.
