Test Engineer (Quality & Regulatory) (HVAC)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States; on-site five days per week

Salary: $65,200–$118,860 annual base salary

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and improve laboratory quality processes, procedures, and the laboratory Quality Management System.
• Support accreditation requirements and maintain controlled quality records and documentation.
• Investigate nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with product development teams on UL test plans, test data analysis, certification reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate regulatory agency requirements, test schedules, certification activities, and internal and external quality audits.
• Prepare test procedures, assess risks, support FMEA activities, and train laboratory personnel on compliance practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, quality, electrical, industrial, or another engineering discipline.
• At least two years of laboratory quality or product development experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial chillers, rooftops, and air handler products.
• Knowledge of product safety and design standards, including UL/CSA 1995, UL508, UL508A, UL 60335-2-40, National Electric Code, ANSI Z21.47, ASHRAE 90.1, CE, and ISO 17025.
• Experience with product development and successful product certification.
• Strong analytical, technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
