Staff Software Engineer - Back End (AI)

Salary: $188,500–$255,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Drive significant technology initiatives end-to-end across multiple architectural layers.
• Architect and develop scalable, secure, maintainable applications and systems.
• Design durable software solutions that integrate with multiple systems and solve critical customer problems.
• Define application, platform, and developer-tool best practices while experimenting with emerging technologies.
• Work with global, cross-functional teams across time zones and communicate with employees, customers, management, and executives.
• Launch AI integrations in production, measure their impact on performance and user satisfaction, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications.
• Proficiency in Java and strong knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, scalable application development, accessibility, internationalization, and instrumentation.
• Experience with automated testing, including TDD and unit, integration, and functional testing.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database design, relational database implementation, analytics, cloud environments, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes or similar systems.
• Experience building or integrating AI models using techniques such as LLM prompting or AutoML, and monitoring AI performance in production.
