Technical Program Manager (ML)

What you will do

• Own the program-level view across concurrent AI/ML research and engineering workstreams, including ownership, deadlines, dependencies, and delivery risks.
• Translate customer and product requirements into prioritized internal work and maintain realistic delivery timelines.
• Act as the program-level contact for customer deployments, communicating needs, status, tradeoffs, and timelines.
• Identify risks and blockers early and drive resolution across research, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Lead reprioritization discussions when commitments change and communicate resulting decisions.
• Build lightweight reporting and tracking systems that support fast-moving engineering programs.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or equivalent supporting AI/ML or data-driven engineering teams.
• Experience across the AI/ML lifecycle, including data collection and labeling, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Experience working directly with customers or external stakeholders to turn needs into internal priorities and timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous, fast-moving technical programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• On-site work in Irvine, California is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, drones, embedded systems, or another autonomy domain.
• Experience supporting AI/ML programs at scale, data operations, data security, systems integration, or production customer deployments.
• Experience serving as a trusted technical point of contact for customers in mission-critical deployments.
• Fluency with Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace, plus PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification.
• Startup or high-growth company experience.
