Senior Director I, AP Computer Science and Cyber Generalist, Curriculum and Assessment

Location: Remote - USA. Candidates near hirify.global offices may choose fully remote or hybrid work with office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional business travel is required, including 6–8 trips per year and up to two additional weeks for the AP Reading. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $112,000–$170,000 per year, adjusted according to location, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead assessment development, review, approval, and scoring for AP Computer Science and Cyber across multiple test titles.
• Develop and revise formative and summative assessment content, test forms, scoring materials, and AP Reading publications.
• Lead educator committee meetings, train and supervise subject-matter experts, and manage external content contributors.
• Use generative AI appropriately in assessment authoring and review while supporting fairness, validity, reliability, security, and quality.
• Collaborate with psychometricians and AP teams to establish cut scores and improve assessment design and processes.
• Refine AP Computer Science and Cyber course frameworks and support new instructional products and prototypes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or a directly related discipline; a doctorate is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Java and expertise in computer science, cybersecurity, or networking.
• At least 10 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work; digital assessment and teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication, organizational, planning, collaboration, and technical skills.
• Experience implementing processes, managing project plans and schedules, maintaining documentation, and proofreading.
• Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States; able to travel 6–8 times per year plus additional AP Reading travel.

Nice to have

• Doctorate in computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or a related discipline.
