Training/Documentation Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Columbia, Maryland, United States, with on-site meetings and up to 10% travel.

Salary: $115,764–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build and oversee markdown-based training content, web-based modules, instructional vignettes, technical documentation, and contractual deliverables.
• Design and deliver advanced training in cyber hunting, log analysis, intrusion investigation, and tool or platform usage through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on labs.
• Create videos, articles, one-pagers, curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, exams, and short- and long-format instructional media.
• Manage training and technical writing teams while providing mentorship, functional leadership, and hands-on execution.
• Develop relationships with government customers, solution partners, and providers while supporting capability rollout and customer satisfaction.
• Support business development through marketing plans, operational roadmaps, proposals, opportunity identification, and bid/no-bid analysis.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• At least 10 years of experience with government training, documentation, and agile development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience with defense or government agencies, including cyber commands, defense agencies, or military cyber components.
• Experience designing technical training curricula, lesson plans, exams, syllabi, and instructional media.
• Experience directly managing training and technical writing teams of at least 12 employees.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with excellent organization, communication, presentation, interviewing, and collaboration abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with software engineering, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
• Experience determining system requirements and supporting technical design and estimating.
• Experience with Big Data Platform or Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture Common Runtime Stack for Data.
• Experience optimizing learning content for distance learning and creating web-based training in Markdown.
• Experience with Camtasia or Google Vids.
