Senior Cash Applications Specialist

Location: Hybrid role based in the Sarasota, Florida office, United States. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

Salary: $21–$26 per hour, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Manage daily cash application activities across ACH, wires, lockbox, credit cards, checks, and electronic payments.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, duplicate payments, unidentified receipts, and other discrepancies.
• Reconcile cash receipts with bank deposits and ERP transactions while maintaining accurate customer accounts.
• Monitor exceptions and recurring payment issues, and support month-end close, audits, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Improve cash application processes, controls, automation, SOPs, documentation, system testing, and workflows.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, Treasury, Accounting, Customer Service, customers, payment providers, and banking partners.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Cash Applications, Accounts Receivable, or related financial operations.
• Experience in a high-volume cash application or Accounts Receivable environment.
• Strong knowledge of payment processing, reconciliation, Accounts Receivable practices, and financial controls.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system and payment portals or electronic payment platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
• US work authorization for full-time employment is required.
