Shift Supervisor (Security)

Location: Edgewood, NY, United States. On-site security role with a Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM shift, subject to change based on coverage and department needs. Travel may be required.

What you will do

• Supervise security staff and manage all activities during the assigned shift, including operating independently without supervisory presence.
• Assign work, set priorities, coordinate activities, and ensure completion according to established schedules.
• Oversee access control, guard inspections, reliefs, facility inspections, and protection of employees, clients, visitors, property, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct loss-prevention assessments and help develop processes to report, manage, and mitigate safety and security risks.
• Investigate complaints, resolve operational issues, counsel associates, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Draft policies and procedures for management review and ensure compliance with organizational rules, safety policies, security procedures, and service contracts.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Two years of security-industry experience at a hirify.global location or six years at non-hirify.global locations. Military, law-enforcement experience, or hiring-manager recommendation may substitute for this experience.
• Computer literacy and typing proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, Teams, CorelDRAW, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Familiarity with access-control systems and CCTV systems; experience with S2 ACS, S2 NetVRs, and Axis CCTV cameras is a plus.
• Clear professional oral and written communication skills, understanding of budgetary processes, and flexibility to adjust working hours based on operational needs.
• Must be able to work on site in Edgewood, NY, work the assigned shift, and travel when required.
