Regional Safety & Security Manager, Americas

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid policy requiring staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office presence.

Annual salary: $280,000–$340,000 USD.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end safety and security operations across all Americas sites, protecting employees, visitors, facilities, assets, and AI research.
• Lead campus security managers, systems integration staff, environmental health and safety personnel, and contracted guard-force partners.
• Serve as regional incident commander and build, test, and improve emergency-response plans with law enforcement and emergency services.
• Implement global physical security, enterprise risk, and environmental health and safety standards across sites and jurisdictions.
• Manage the regional budget and vendor portfolio, including guard-post standards, coverage, and service quality.
• Support new-site risk assessments, security design, pre-opening readiness, and relationships with government and public-safety partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive safety and/or security leadership experience, including multi-site or regional responsibility and direct people leadership.
• Experience leading teams of 50 or more and managing operating budgets exceeding $10M.
• Experience serving as incident commander for complex, high-stakes incidents and building emergency-response capabilities.
• Experience delivering security scopes for major facility projects from design through activation.
• Ability to build partnerships with law enforcement, emergency services, and government agencies and influence across matrixed organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field; regular travel across Americas sites and 24/7 on-call availability required.

Nice to have

• Public-safety, law-enforcement, or military command experience transitioned into corporate security leadership.
• Experience managing teams of 100 or more and budgets of $25M or more across safety, security technology, dispatch, training, and compliance.
• CPP or PSP certification, ICS/FEMA incident-command training, or active ASIS/InfraGard engagement.
• Master’s degree and experience in high-profile technology, research, or regulated environments.
