Senior Engineer - Network & IP

Location: Hybrid working from any hirify.global site in the United Kingdom, with occasional travel to Winchester, London or Huddersfield for team meetings. UK residency for at least five years and successful UK Security Clearance are required.

Salary: Up to £62,600 per year

What you will do

• Maintain, support and enhance critical, always-on IP network infrastructure.
• Lead planned maintenance, upgrades, modifications, fault response and corrective maintenance.
• Support network projects through technical advice, installation, commissioning and service transition.
• Manage the full lifecycle of network devices, including upgrades and decommissioning.
• Maintain network designs, documentation, testing records and regulatory compliance evidence.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and coordinate third-party suppliers and contractors.

Requirements

• Significant experience supporting and troubleshooting complex critical IP networks.
• Experience with BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, multicast and QoS.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco devices and IOS, IOS XE and IOS XR.
• Understanding of firewalls, threat and intrusion detection systems, data centre networking and high-threat environments.
• Experience with monitoring and control processes, bespoke or COTS software and hardware, and engineering standards.
• Relevant UK residency history and eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance.

• Understanding of data centre technologies and AWS.

• Higher education or a professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
