What you will do

• Manage branch operations, profitability, sales performance, customer experience, digital engagement, and transaction servicing.
• Lead, coach, hire, and develop branch staff, including performance management and staffing decisions.
• Grow Retail and Business Banking relationships through prospecting, outreach, community networking, and outside calling.
• Identify customer needs and recommend short- and long-term banking products and services.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and resolve complex account servicing and escalation issues.
• Maintain operational controls, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, audit requirements, and customer asset protection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, profitability, and client relationship management.
• Ability to communicate professionally, coach exceptional customer service, and collaborate across the organization.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing may be required within 18 months; training is provided within the first six months.
• M&T Business Banking Specialist certification is required within 18 months of hire; proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet, and email is expected.
