Hardware Engineer

Location: Richmond, BC, Canada; onsite lab work in the office

What you will do

• Review schematics, PCB layouts, supplier test results, and provide technical feedback to third-party suppliers.
• Evaluate components for future projects and design circuits when needed.
• Perform manual bench testing and automated testing of smart home hardware.
• Verify battery charging and discharging, EMI coexistence, power consumption, and product functionality.
• Investigate root causes of hardware issues and propose fixes with support from other engineers.
• Prepare clear test and data reports for engineering review.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the electronics industry.
• BSEE or higher.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and power analyzers.
• Experience compiling test data reports with Excel or similar tools.
• Experience using test scripts such as Python.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate results clearly, and review engineering work.
