Full-Time Profee & Facility OBGYN Medical Coder

Location: Remote, USA

Salary: $25–$28 per hour

What you will do

• Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for OBGYN clinic and surgical encounters.
• Abstract relevant information according to client guidelines.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 diagnostic and procedural codes.
• Request physician clarification for ambiguous or conflicting documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of Coding Clinic, CPT Assistant, and official coding guidelines.
• Support coder training and education when needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional fee and facility coding experience.
• Strong experience coding OBGYN clinic and surgery services, including office and surgical encounters.
• Ability to code clinic E&M and CPT services at a productivity expectation of 10 records per hour.
• Experience with EPIC, 3M, and 360.
• One or more required certifications: CPC, COC, CIC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology, disease processes, coding guidelines, reimbursement systems, and applicable regulations.
