Electrician Technician (Power Systems)

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States; primarily office/warehouse work with travel to FAA client sites up to 80% of the time.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot electrical power systems at FAA facilities.
• Support demolition, disposal, surveying, and assessment of existing generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution equipment, fuel systems, and related infrastructure.
• Install and test engine generators, fuel systems and tanks, UPS units, static transfer switches, distribution equipment, controls, HVAC, lighting, and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare technical data and survey reports, contribute to construction estimates and schedules, and support project oversight.
• Organize and inspect construction activities including utility installation, electrical work, heavy equipment operation, welding, concrete, and mechanical work.
• Coordinate installation and scheduling requirements with FAA stakeholders while maintaining safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least three years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience as an electrical technician focused on power distribution systems and construction-related disciplines.
• Knowledge of power system maintenance and operation, equipment fabrication, prototype assembly, testing, and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to make deliveries and perform driving-related tasks.
• Ability to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the Public Trust level.
• Ability to travel to FAA client sites up to 80% of the time and work independently or as part of a team.

Nice to have

• CDL license.
• Required state and local electrical licenses.
• Experience with commercial electrical systems, lightning protection, fuel storage tanks, and engine generators.
