Staff Platform Engineer, AI Agent Infrastructure & Security

hirify.global is building a fintech ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., starting with AI-powered WhatsApp remittances and using blockchain and stablecoins for cross-border payments.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and operate Maestro's multi-tenant control plane and per-user runtime on private GKE.
• Implement Kubernetes operators, Helm charts, gVisor sandboxing, Workload Identity, network policies, and per-user isolation.
• Own the security model for identity separation, short-lived credentials, OAuth token storage, zero-credential egress, and adversarial AI workloads.
• Operate a fleet of 500+ pods with health monitoring, scale-to-zero, resource packing, reliability, and recovery tooling.
• Drive Terraform infrastructure, CI/CD, progressive delivery, and production observability across GCP services.
• Build audit pipelines, human approval flows, guardrails, and governed integrations with agent gateways, tool wrappers, and model-routing systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software or infrastructure engineering experience owning large-scale, security-critical distributed systems.
• Deep production Kubernetes experience with operators, CRDs, controller-runtime, Helm, runtime isolation, multi-tenancy, and fleet operations.
• Strong cloud-native architecture on GCP or another major cloud, with Terraform and production infrastructure ownership.
• Applied security expertise covering SPIFFE or Workload Identity, Istio mTLS, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, token exchange, KMS encryption, least privilege, and zero trust.
• Excellent Go and/or Python skills, plus production observability, OpenTelemetry, SLOs, incident response, and cost/performance engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with production LLM or agent systems, tool calling, orchestration, human-in-the-loop workflows, model routing, and guardrails.

Nice to have

• Experience securing and operating agentic AI architectures rather than researching models.
• Experience with OpenClaw, Hermes, or similar open-source tool-calling frameworks.
