Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Brazil; the role may transition toward a hybrid model with hubs in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Helm, Go, Python, and Bash.
• Build and improve monitoring, alerting, logging, SLO, SLI, and error-budget practices using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortem analysis.
• Implement cloud security practices and collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Product teams on reliable deployments.
• Optimize GKE resources and cloud spending through FinOps practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an SRE or Platform Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, GKE, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Terraform, Helm, and GitHub Actions.
• Programming or scripting experience with Go, Python, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, networking, incident management, and on-call operations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or distributed databases, cloud cost management, and production SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification.
• Experience with FinOps, cloud security, regulated industries, PagerDuty, or similar tools.
• Experience with Istio, including mTLS, traffic splitting, or routing.
