TL;DR
Sr DataOps Engineer (Python/AWS/Terraform): Building and operating scalable data infrastructure, automation components, and integrated pipelines for international customers with an accent on cloud reliability, API orchestration, and data platform design. Focus on developing Python and Terraform solutions, deploying AWS services, modeling data ecosystems, and translating customer requirements into robust DataOps architectures.
Location: Argentina, Uruguay, or Brazil; remote

What you will do
- Develop Python components, Terraform modules, and automated data pipelines.
- Integrate systems through APIs to extract and update data, trigger processes, and monitor operations.
- Deploy, maintain, and oversee AWS cloud infrastructure for performance and reliability.
- Create data models, technical documentation, and DataOps best practices.
- Work directly with customers to understand needs, extract requirements, and propose scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and Bash, with fluency in SQL.
- Deep familiarity with databases, data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines, and process improvement.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, including EC2, Lambda, IAM, SQS, RDS, Kinesis, Glue, and EKS.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub, Docker, and dbt.
- Ability to work autonomously, collaborate in a non-hierarchical environment, and interact directly with customers.
- Strong attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-iterating environment.
Nice to have
- AWS associate- or professional-level certification, such as Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer.
