Software Engineer (Rust)

Location: Hybrid working policy with periodic in-person workshops, team events, and occasional travel.

Salary: €69,500–€104,300 EUR per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop a scalable private cloud solution for managing PlayStation Development Kits.
• Build associated APIs and services as part of the PlayStation SDK.
• Own feature delivery from requirements analysis and design through implementation and validation.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve issues in existing and newly developed code.
• Participate in requirements gathering, architecture discussions, code reviews, and agile cross-functional collaboration.
• Attend in-person workshops and team events, with occasional travel as required.

Requirements

• Commercial or open-source experience developing production-quality software in Rust.
• Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, error handling, and asynchronous programming with Tokio.
• Strong commercial experience developing software in modern C++.
• Understanding of concurrency, multithreaded programming, and modern software design principles.
• Experience writing automated tests and applying modern software testing practices.
• Proficiency with Git or another distributed version control system; BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Cross-platform development experience for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience building APIs with gRPC and/or REST.
• Experience deploying and managing applications with Kubernetes and/or AWS.
• Proficiency with Docker, Podman, or other container technologies.
• Experience developing user interfaces with React.
