Software Eng II (Rust/C++)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working with periodic in-person workshops, team events, and occasional travel.

Salary: €69,500–€104,300 EUR per year, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and develop a scalable private cloud solution for managing hirify.global Development Kits.
• Build and maintain APIs and services as part of the hirify.global SDK.
• Own feature delivery from requirements analysis and design through implementation and validation.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve issues in existing and newly developed code.
• Participate in requirements gathering, architecture discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional agile collaboration.

Requirements

• Commercial or open-source experience developing production-quality software in Rust, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, error handling, and asynchronous programming with Tokio.
• Strong commercial experience with modern C++.
• Understanding of concurrency, multithreaded programming, and modern software design principles.
• Experience writing automated tests and applying modern software testing practices.
• Proficiency with Git or other distributed version control systems.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Cross-platform development experience for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience building APIs with gRPC or REST.
• Experience deploying applications with Kubernetes or AWS.
• Experience with Docker, Podman, or other container technologies, or developing interfaces with React.
