Platform Engineering Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and grow a platform engineering team focused on developer experience and engineering productivity.
• Drive roadmaps for efficient CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, and internal developer tooling.
• Build a self-service developer experience integrating platform capabilities, service performance visibility, and SLO health signals.
• Own capacity planning and define right-sized architecture patterns and templates for scalable service development.
• Lead AI-powered platform tooling, including agent-based planning workflows and automation for SRE and support operations.
• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security Engineering, and Product while coaching engineers and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience managing software engineers or working in technical program management, including coaching and performance management.
• 3–5 years of hands-on software engineering experience with Go or Python and developer productivity tools or internal developer platforms.
• Understanding of infrastructure and cloud technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and distributed systems.
• Experience with capacity planning, architecture patterns, self-service infrastructure decisions, and SRE practices.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to balance technical depth with people leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Familiarity with large language model APIs and agent-based workflows.
