Senior Software Engineer, Java Backend (Java)

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, high-availability Java software and platform improvements.
• Build backend signaling and session infrastructure for secure, low-latency remote access connections.
• Influence architecture decisions while balancing technical debt, performance, scalability, and business needs.
• Own technical initiatives, address operational challenges, and implement improvements based on support data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Advocate for quality assurance practices and deliver robust, high-performance software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of Java software development experience, preferably with product applications.
• 5+ years of experience developing highly scalable systems and solving complex system design challenges.
• Strong object-oriented programming knowledge and expertise in API design, RESTful services, and frameworks such as Spring.
• Proficiency in relational database design and development, caching systems, asynchronous application design, and client-server architecture.
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang, Postgres, and AWS is relevant to the technology stack.
