Consumer Operations & Risk Expert - Old Port ME or Portsmouth NH

Location: Portland, Maine, United States; candidates must be able to work in Old Port, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Four days in the office and one day remote, with Saturday on-call coverage.

Salary: $62,200–$103,600 annual USD

What you will do

• Provide guidance, training, and coaching to branch personnel on operational, risk, and regulatory procedures.
• Support branch audits, document findings, escalate exceptions, and help employees make appropriate daily risk decisions.
• Conduct branch-specific coaching and informational sessions to correct issues and improve adherence to established procedures.
• Support fraud prevention initiatives and coordinate with internal fraud, security, retail risk, human resources, training, and operations partners.
• Respond to significant losses and robberies, including on-site branch follow-up and completion of required security checklists.
• Implement operational tasks for new branch openings, consolidations, relocations, and bank-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least three years of progressive branch and/or audit experience, or seven years of combined higher education and work experience including at least three years of relevant experience.
• Ability to spend significant time traveling to and working in assigned branch locations.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with management and branch staff.
• Excellent presentation skills, including creating, facilitating, and delivering presentations.
• Ability to work in Old Port, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire under a four-days-on-site, one-day-remote schedule.

• Experience completing audits.
• Knowledge of bank processing systems, branch policies, and procedures.
• Retail branch banking or operations experience.
