Human Resources Manager - Corrugated (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Columbus, Indiana, with regular travel to Gas City and Vincennes, Indiana

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually, plus an annual performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Manage and implement HR policies and programs across three plant locations, supporting approximately 400 hourly and salaried employees.
• Oversee recruiting, staffing, onboarding, employee orientations, personnel documentation, and employment-cycle administration.
• Handle employee relations, performance counseling, investigations, harassment complaints, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Support labor relations, union contract negotiations, grievance responses, arbitration, and interpretation of plant rules.
• Administer benefits, workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, FMLA, short-term disability, absenteeism policies, and related reporting.
• Coordinate training, career development, compensation processes, employee engagement, and HRMS/EHS data administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8 or more years of HR generalist experience, including 3–5 years in an HR Manager role.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a corrugated manufacturing plant.
• Knowledge of labor relations, contract administration, workers’ compensation, employee training, EEO, FLSA, NLRB, Affirmative Action, and OFCCP requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, counseling, judgment, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• PHR certification.
• Master’s degree.
