Senior Engineer, eCommerce

Salary: $161,640–$169,995 annual base salary, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and develop Java microservices and frontend applications for highly available eCommerce platform components.
• Apply object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, DBMS/SQL, and software engineering practices to enterprise projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineers and technical leads to make key design decisions and build consensus.
• Design platform components for clear separation of concerns, reliability, and easy scaling.
• Define logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks for critical metrics, and participate in load and performance testing.
• Guide and mentor engineers on microservices best practices and troubleshoot operational and production issues across the eCommerce stack.

Requirements

• Experience developing Java microservices and frontend applications.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design principles, data structures, algorithms, DBMS/SQL, and software engineering practices.
• Ability to design reliable, scalable systems with clear separation of concerns.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, alerting, load testing, and performance testing.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, influence decisions, resolve conflicts, and mentor engineers.
