Member of Technical Staff — Software Engineer (Backend) (AI/SaaS)

What you will do

• Build customer-facing product features across APIs, backend services, data models, and responsive web interfaces.
• Design and evolve scalable backend APIs, services, and data flows for reliable multi-tenant SaaS capabilities.
• Own features from concept through production, including requirements, technical design, implementation, testing, and iteration.
• Improve code quality, testing, performance, accessibility, security, observability, alerting, and cost visibility.
• Investigate production issues, participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation, and complete post-incident follow-ups.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers while building infrastructure and application automations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production web applications or SaaS products.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Strong programming experience in at least one backend language: Go, Java, Python, or Node.
• Experience designing and developing APIs, backend services, and SDKs.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, asynchronous processing, and scalable reliable systems.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, event-driven architecture, message buses or queues, and high-throughput distributed services.
• Cloud-native development experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production observability.
• Experience with AI/ML product capabilities, including LLM applications, agentic workflows, search, or recommendation systems.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Terraform, YAML, Helm, HCL, or Argo CD.
• Experience with reusable component libraries, internal developer tooling, or open-source projects.
