Accounting Manager (Insurance)

What you will do

• Prepare or review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for pool governance boards and management.
• Oversee general ledger maintenance, journal entries, accruals, bank reconciliations, and supporting work papers.
• Prepare regulatory, premium, state income, and federal income tax filings.
• Develop annual budgets and monitor cash flow, funding, receipts, disbursements, and investment reconciliations.
• Coordinate external audit fieldwork, contract terms, and report presentations.
• Supervise accounting staff across multiple locations and manage relationships with internal departments and external entities.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant credential.
• Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
• 5–8 years of experience in a similar position managing multiple entities or audit engagements.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, audit coordination, and accounting operations.
