Payments Analyst (EdTech)

What you will do

• Maintain and improve recurring payment reports, dashboards, filters, and data extracts.
• Adapt reporting for new applications, markets, and business needs.
• Monitor payment performance, alerts, and week-over-week changes in key metrics.
• Identify anomalies, investigate potential causes, and perform data quality checks across multiple data sources.
• Analyze large product and transactional datasets and provide clear, actionable insights to Payments, Product, Finance, and other teams.
• Automate recurring reports and contribute to advanced payment analytics, experiments, and business hypotheses.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Product Analytics, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to write queries independently.
• Practical Python skills for data analysis and automation.
• Working knowledge of statistics and analytical methods, with experience handling large product or business datasets.
• Experience creating or maintaining reports and BI dashboards, plus advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Strong attention to detail, data validation and anomaly-investigation skills, ownership, learning agility, and structured communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment, transactional, billing, or financial data.
• Experience in subscription-based, web-to-app, fintech, e-commerce, gaming, or other high-volume B2C products.
• Understanding of monetization models and online payment flows.
• Experience with AWS Athena, Amazon S3, Tableau, Apache Superset, Looker, or similar BI tools.
• Experience automating reports or using AI tools with real-world datasets.
