Design Automation & DevOps Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work

Annual salary: $105,650–$200,340 USD

What you will do

• Develop and deploy software solutions that expand design tool capabilities, streamline debugging, and improve design productivity.
• Contribute to an AI-based development environment by migrating, modernizing, and standardizing engineering workflows.
• Help integrate AI-assisted development tools into CPU design workflows.
• Partner with compute, infrastructure, CAD, software, and design teams.
• Maintain a scalable and reliable internal high-performance computing cloud for CPU design and analysis.
• Ensure shipped solutions are correct, secure, and maintainable, including AI-generated code.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years of experience, or a master’s degree in the same field.
• At least 6 months of educational experience in at least two relevant areas: data structures and algorithms; programming and scripting; Linux/Unix systems; or AI software development tools.
• Programming and scripting experience with technologies such as C/C++, Perl/Tcl, Python, or shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux/Unix-based environments and systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, communication, and quality-focused engineering skills.
